As you could already read in the subsection “Moor project”, the preliminary study for the key project “Revitalization of Ore Mountains Moors” was commissioned in 1999 by the then State Office for Environment and Geology (LfUG). The Erzgebirge moor protection project has been commissioned by the state and has since received technical support from the state office. The State Office is also the funding authority to which funding requests for the implementation of rewetting measures can be submitted through various funding programs.
